Ida Rolf (1896-1979) developed the Structural Integration 10-series as a way of restoring a person to their natural alignment. As we go through life, our jobs, hobbies and injuries often take our bodies out of alignment. This might show up as one hip or shoulder being higher than the other, the head too far forward from the torso, legs that are bowed, etc. As a Structural Integration practitioner, I address these imbalances by working the fascia – a thin, white connective tissue that surrounds every muscle and bone in the body. I take the client through a series of 10, 2-hour sessions where we work together to improve their posture and reduce their pain.
In this 30 minute introductory session, I’ll be working on the chest, shoulders, arms, neck, and back. My goal is to give you a sample of the work, understand your issues, and let you know if structural integration would be a good fit for you.
